Literacy through Children's and YA Literature - February 2013 Book Selection

February's book(s), discussion, and activities are for all grades.
To "officially" sign up to participate in this month's discussion and activities...please Sign Up on www.mylearningplan.com and join the Wiki. Then,post on the Disucssion Board which book you will be reading and if you need the 6.5 Staff Development Hours and /or 8 LPDC Hours by 3:00 PM Friday, February 15.
The February book selections are all 4 of the 2012 Caldecott Winner and Honor Books. Click any of the links to see the book choices for this month.
Participants are responsible for obtaining a copy of the books.

Participants are expected to:

Read the assigned book(s) for the month.
Respond to the discussion questions.
Repond to other participants answers in separate posts.
Create a lesson using the book(s).
Meet together for 1 hour to futher disucss the books and share lesson plans.

Disucssions need to posted and Lessons need to be emailed by 9:00 PM Sunday, February 24.

We will meet to disucss the books on Monday, February 25 from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the Timken Library.

Please enter the Timken Commons from the 4th St. parking lot at Door 2. The Library is on the second floor, up the big, blue staircase.
